Things Had All Piled Up at Once
After saying goodbye to Big Bear, Wang Yue and Luo Yan set off on an impromptu trip. They drove north, stopping whenever they came across a particularly beautiful view and spending a day or two painting it.
But the trip didn't last long. They had only made it as far north as Jingdezhen when a piece of news made it impossible to continue.
It turned out that when Mother Luo and Zhao Changming were having an intimate chat at a hotel, Zhao Changming's wife, Qu Wan, had caught them there. If it had only been an awkward meeting between the three of them, Qu Wan might have swallowed her pride and let it go.
But this time, Qu Wan had arranged to go to a spa with a friend. Her friend seemed fiercely loyal. When she saw what was happening, she got even more worked up than Qu Wan and rushed forward without hesitation to slap Mother Luo, the mistress. When Luo Yan saw the news, she angrily smashed her beloved drawing board. She hadn't expected that even after getting away from it all, she still couldn't escape news about Mother Luo.
After she and Wang Yue had set out, Luo Yan had discovered that his painting style was versatile and that he seemed to know a little of everything. Her mood had been so good throughout the trip that it felt like they were on their honeymoon.
