The Not-So-Bright Girl
Time flew by. Since Wang Yue had already assembled most of it, the space shuttle was soon finished with his and Qiao Yingzi's combined efforts.
Wang Yue had designed this space shuttle to resemble a model used by the North American Federation. It came with a booster.
Of course, Wang Yue had made a few modifications. Neither the booster nor the shuttle was disposable; they were practically toys. He had only upgraded the battery a little to make it more durable.
Wang Yue and Qiao Yingzi could use two remote controls to operate the shuttle and booster separately, simulating their separation after launch.
It wasn't that Wang Yue couldn't design a more advanced toy. He just didn't want to make it seem too abrupt. It was better to imitate one first and then surpass it—that showed the growth of a genius designer. If he surpassed it right away, he wouldn't be able to bring Yingzi along.
Qiao Yingzi had no idea what Wang Yue was thinking. Looking at the assembled shuttle, she said seriously, "Your plane looks a lot like that shuttle from the North American Federation. I wonder if it can actually fly. I'm worried that this little motor won't be powerful enough!"
Wang Yue knew it would definitely fly, but he wasn't about to admit that. Pretending he wasn't too sure, he replied in a tentative tone, "This is our first-generation shuttle, anyway. Why don't we give it a try? If it really can't fly, I'll design a second or third generation. There are plenty of holidays, so I can give you a few more presents."
Qiao Yingzi was too excited to notice how suggestive his words sounded. Instead, she said admiringly, "This is already amazing. You're still in your senior year of high school,
