Final Thoughts

Writing the four words "final thoughts" left me with mixed feelings.

"I Kidnapped the Timeline" began serialization on May 27, 2021. Including the time spent building its framework and world setting before serialization, as well as discarded drafts, it had accompanied me for two and a half years.

You could say that continuing to write this story had become an important part of my life.

After it ended, I suddenly felt as though I had lost something.

I felt the same way when I wrote my previous book. It was like a child I had carefully looked after; suddenly, I realized that child had grown up and was about to leave my world.

But every story had to end, and the ending of the timeline left behind a foreshadowing.

It concerned the Scarlet God, as well as the Great World Feng Qi was about to enter.

This foreshadowing would be connected to my next book. Many readers had already guessed the answer: the Scarlet God would be the protagonist of the next book.

The story would still begin with the protagonist's youth.

However, the new book would not have much overlap with the timeline, and its story would unfold entirely anew, so it would not affect the reading experience of new readers.

You could think of it as a new book with a new story and new content.

As for when the next book would begin, it would probably be around October.

The timeline had already concluded. I had so much I wanted to say, yet I did not know how to put it into words. My heart felt stifled, and I kept feeling as though I had lost something important.
