Soul Rings are absorbed sources of Soul Power that grant Soul Skills to Martial Soul users. They normally correspond to a Soul Beast's cultivation age and are displayed as halos around the user's body.

Acquisition and Absorption

• Soul Masters ordinarily obtain rings by killing Soul Beasts and absorbing the ring left behind, as seen when Dugu Yan receives her fourth ring from a roughly fifteen-thousand-year King of the Earth 47.
• A Soul Ring supplies Soul Power during absorption and grants a corresponding Soul Skill. Li Yifei notes that this Soul Power can also nourish spiritual power 48.
• The ring's age must normally remain within the recipient's physical tolerance. Excessive age can cause fatal strain during absorption 47 73.
• Soul Beast remnants may survive within a ring. A Residual Soul Backlash can invade an absorber's Sea of Consciousness; failure to resist can result in mental collapse or a mindless body 73.
• The usual rule that Soul Power cannot cross each ten-level bottleneck without obtaining another Soul Ring is treated as an iron law of the continent, though Chat Group Soul Power Boosts can bypass it 69 78.

Soul Ring Age Theory

Li Yifei challenges the precise numerical limits attributed to Yu Xiaogang's Soul Ring Age Theory, including the claims that a first ring cannot exceed 423 years and a second cannot exceed 764 years. He argues that such single-year limits would require an enormous body of controlled absorption data and notes that Spirit Hall's Angel Legion followed the broader principle of seeking the highest tolerable ring ages long before the theory's publication 27 28.

God-bestowed Soul Rings

The God-bestowed Soul Ring (Upgraded Version) is a Chat Group reward and an exceptional alternative to ordinary Soul Beast rings.

Ring Replacement

Li Yifei demonstrates that an ordinary Soul Ring can be absorbed first and then overwritten by a God-bestowed Soul Ring. The original ring melts away, while the replacement produces another surge of Soul Power 48.
