What no one had expected after pushing open the gates was an even larger courtyard behind them.

It was a square courtyard that felt perfect for a massive invader brawl, with entrances leading into adjacent buildings on both sides.

Directly ahead was an open doorway, unobstructed by any gate.

Their gazes passed through the narrow doorway toward the blue sky and white clouds beyond, only to abruptly come to an end.

Because at the very end stood a cliff.
