No Way Forward???

Right now, everyone in the Holy Light Church had one simple question.

What were they supposed to do next?

"Wait, where's the path?"

Anna jogged over to the cliff's edge. Looking out, all she could see was mist obscuring her vision, with layered mountains rising and falling in the distance. There was simply no way forward!

Even if they used flight magic, they would have no idea which direction was the correct route!

If an experienced adventurer had been here, they would probably have recognized at a glance that the road before the Holy Light Knights was not meant for explorers to travel.

No matter how hellish and treacherous the map of Sain Underground City was, it still had guidance overall. Whether it was firelight around the corner of a dark path, a tower before layers of mist, or a clearing in a dense forest, there would always be something eye-catching somewhere.

Those conspicuous things were the "guidance" drawing adventurers onward to explore. Whether they realized it or not, adventurers always followed that guidance forward.

But this cliff, along with the vast world beyond it, truly had not the slightest bit of guidance.

So now, they really had no idea where to go.

"Where the heck is the path?"

No one answered Anna's confusion with some joke about the path being beneath their feet. Everyone looked around, their faces revealing boundless confusion as great as Gui'ao'er's.

"Could we go back? Maybe there's some hidden path we missed?"

"They put the exit on a hidden path? Sain Underground City has never done something like that. Is it getting even more sinister?"

"How about we go back and ask that knight?"
