Xiao Yi Xian grew up struggling to survive alone. Her later fixation on strength comes from those experiences: she seeks power to protect the people and things she cherishes, rather than for personal enjoyment 449.

In Green Mountain Town, she invites Xiao Tian to join a herb-gathering team out of concern for his safety, though he declines. He later finds her surrounded by Mu Li and Wolf Head mercenaries after all her protectors have been killed, and intervenes to save her 16 17.

Their subsequent treasure-cave exploration gives her the Seven Colored Poison Scripture. She declines the Eagle Wings flying technique after learning that its remnant beast soul would attack her soul during cultivation, judging it too dangerous for her current strength. Xiao Tian later gives her the Mystic Rank High Grade technique Lion’s Roar 18 19.

The Wolf Head Mercenary Group spreads news about the treasure and reaches an agreement with Ten Thousand Medicines Hall. Expecting them to act against her, Xiao Yi Xian fills her room with medicinal powder and prepares antidotes. Her kindness does not make her passive. She deliberately trains to stand beside Xiao Tian rather than become a decorative companion, and her desire to improve once leads her to consume more poison than intended.
