Bruce seemed to suddenly think of something and voiced the question in his mind.

"You—Viltrumites should all possess abilities like yours, right?"

Shane nodded.

"Yes, though there are differences in strength. Legend speaks of the most powerful Royal Bloodline, but it had already vanished long before the civil war began."

"Then how can you be so sure that what you have is a superpower?"

Bruce made a gesture.

"What I mean is, logically speaking, shouldn't these so-called 'superpowers' be as natural to you as eating and drinking?"

"Oh, Viltrum also has scientific development—in fact, it surpasses the level of technology displayed on Earth's surface."

This knowledge was common sense on Viltrum, so Shane was clear on it.

"First, aside from the Elite who are born with abilities, most ordinary Viltrumites don't have superpowers at birth, but they will awaken at the latest by the age of sixteen."

"Second, although our abilities manifest only as physical functions like strength and speed, we can also fly, and the caloric intake from our daily food is completely disproportionate to the power we can exert."

Shane made a motion of touching his stomach: "Even in a state of starvation, I can still sustain combat for over a week. You understand, setting aside superpowers, this violates the Law of Energy Conservation."

Bruce appeared calm on the surface, but inwardly he was firmly committing Shane's words to memory.

This only made him feel more puzzled.

Even after the conversation following their face-to-face meeting, Shane's demeanor still unmistakably indicated that Viltrum was an absolutely real place.

Whether it was culture, technology, or even their own research into their race, it all perfectly matched the normal development and exploratory cognition of a civilization.

In fact, the technological awareness of the Viltrumites and their drive to explore their own abilities only heightened Bruce's wariness toward Viltrum.

It couldn't be found in the known universe, so perhaps Viltrum existed in another universe, or in a different dimension.

He just didn't know how Shane had arrived in this one.

After the tests concluded, Bruce brought him back to the top-floor office and handed him a white ID card.

It wasn't an identification card, but a shelter certificate from a charitable organization.

"Your identity has been set up. The name is Shane, affiliated with a charitable shelter in Metropolis. Wayne Enterprises will quietly handle your subsequent living expenses."

Bruce paused, then continued.

"If there's anything else you need help with, you can say it now."

Shane took the ID card, his fingertips rubbing against the information on it. He was silent for a long time before speaking.

"I think I might need a teacher."

"A teacher?"

Bruce was somewhat surprised at this.

"Do you need to learn about Earth's culture, or knowledge in some other field?"

"Neither."

Shane shook his head, a hint of barely perceptible weariness in his tone.

"I grew up on Viltrum. Over more than a decade, the only things I learned were destruction and killing."

He paused, then continued.

"I can deliberately suppress my strength to live normally on Earth, but once I use my superpowers, every subconscious action will lead to destruction. I need a teacher to teach me how to use this power in a non-destructive way."

Bruce looked at the young man before him and suddenly understood the struggle within him.

A warrior raised in an environment of slaughter, trying to break free from the instinct for destruction—it was far harder than imagined.

Bruce pondered for a moment: "There's someone in the Justice League who might be able to help you."

Shane was somewhat surprised.

"You're going to contact the Justice League? They handle this kind of thing?"

He had thought Bruce would make arrangements secretly as Batman.

"To say something you might not like to hear—you're an extraterrestrial visitor with destructive power far exceeding a nuclear bomb. Of course they'll handle it."

Bruce smiled, slipping back into that witty and humorous demeanor that made Shane uncomfortable. He made a "wait a moment" gesture to Shane and picked up the encrypted phone on his desk.

"Wait in the lounge for a bit. I'll contact Batman and have him send someone over."

Shane watched Bruce Wayne putting on his act and pressed his lips together.

To be honest, watching Bruce perform like this made Shane feel mentally exhausted.

He walked into the adjacent lounge and had just sat down when he heard a sound of air being split from outside the window.

Shane still subconsciously triggered a combat reflex. This kind of flight sound, similar to a powerful enemy approaching, made every muscle in his body suddenly tense.

All his strength began to gather, until he suddenly remembered—this was Earth.

Although this was the infamous Gotham, it was still relatively safe for him.

Relaxing, Shane stood up and walked to the window, looking up. A golden figure was descending rapidly from the sky, finally stopping on the top platform of Wayne Enterprises.

When that figure stepped into the office, Shane's pupils contracted slightly.

The newcomer wore a red battle skirt, a golden belt around her waist, long black hair cascading over her shoulders, and a faintly glowing golden lasso hanging from her right side. She exuded a steady, warrior-like aura.

"Wonder Woman?"

Shane recognized her, a hint of extra surprise in his heart.

Bruce Wayne had made one phone call and directly summoned a core member of the Justice League.

Wasn't this a bit too conspicuous?

Wonder Woman Diana's gaze fell on Shane, a flicker of curiosity in her eyes.

"Bruce, is this the child who needs help you mentioned?"

She could clearly sense the aura around Shane.

It was the aura of a warrior who had experienced countless battles, marked by blood and slaughter, yet deliberately suppressed.

"If you hadn't said he was from another planet, I would have thought he was some berserker's offspring Zeus had dropped from the Divine Realm."

"His name is Shane, from Viltrum, a civilization that prides itself on combat and conquest."

Bruce briefly introduced Shane's background, then explained his request for a teacher.

"He wants to learn how to use his superpowers non-destructively, to break free from his instinctive urge to destroy. I think you're the most suitable person."

Diana nodded but didn't agree immediately. Instead, she pulled out a copper metal ball from somewhere and casually tossed it at Shane.

"Catch this first."

The metal ball flew toward Shane, whistling through the air with considerable force.

Shane instinctively reached out and caught the ball with a thud in his palm.

Just as he was puzzled, Diana said, "Open your hand."

Shane opened his palm as instructed and was shocked to find that the hard copper ball had been crushed into an irregular shape, with deep imprints of his fingers sunken into it, nearly destroying the ball completely.

Diana's expression turned serious. She looked at Shane and spoke slowly.

"You are an excellent warrior; your combat instincts are etched into your bones. But the training you received was too brutal and bloody, so much so that every subconscious move you make when using your power carries a tendency toward destruction and ruin."

She paused, her tone softening slightly.

"However, the fact that you're willing to change is enough. I can be your teacher."
