No wonder. If France had been a peaceful land where its people could live and work in contentment, then in the many Anglo-French Wars over the centuries, this country would not have repeatedly failed to defeat Britain, a mere little island nation. Nor would Lancelot have needed to cross the sea and travel to the British Dynasty to swear himself in as a knight.
