"I'll pass..." Boudica shook her head and declined. "I'm a little tired. I need to rest."
She had never enjoyed a victor's revelry while alive; now that she was a Servant, Boudica could not share in the joy of the Roman legions' victory.
After all, unlike Spartacus, who desired nothing but the overthrow of tyrants, Boudica had countless reasons why she could never forgive the Roman Empire and Emperor Nero. Even if she had joined the Gallic Expeditionary Force out of a desire to protect civilians, she could never fully integrate into the Roman legions. As someone from Britain, she had never been the same kind of person as the uninhibited Romans.
"If that is the case, then I shall not force you."
Nero nodded without concern, then looked to the others and continued her enthusiastic invitation. "Sir Lianye, are you accustomed to drinking? I have some of the finest wine sent from the East!"
It was unclear whether she had failed to notice Boudica's displeasure or had simply chosen to ignore it. In any case, Emperor Nero's will would never be swayed by Boudica alone.
"I'll sit this one out too. I can't let Lily learn bad habits from me."
Lianye shrugged. Having learned his lesson once already, he would not lead the next generation astray and turn Jeanne d'Arc—Lily—into the sort of delinquent girl who said, "Even though I smoke, drink, and have tattoos, I know I'm a good girl..."
(PS: Mordred is exactly that kind of smoking, drinking... delinquent girl and brat.)
"Then I'll pass too."
Jeanne d'Arc Alter waved a hand. She had to set a good example for her younger "self." Ideally, Lily would cast aside that white one and become infatuated with her instead—just as planned!
"I'm afraid I can't handle alcohol either..."
