"Chief Chen, how could we let you make a special trip for something so minor? You only need to give the word." Cai Qiang, deputy director of the Otherworld Affairs Investigation Bureau, said with an ingratiating smile, sweat covering his forehead.

The higher-ups had been alerted over such a small matter.

There was no helping it. Chen Shouyi didn't know who was in charge, so he had called the president directly.

"I'm just here to see Luo Jingwen," Chen Shouyi said calmly. "Is he all right?"

"Senior Luo's indicators are all normal. His risk assessment is the lowest possible," Cai Qiang said. Seeing Chen Shouyi's reaction, he relaxed a little. It seemed Chief Chen wasn't displeased.

What he feared most was Chief Chen taking his anger out on their department.

"Good. What about the others?" Chen Shouyi nodded and asked.

"One person has shown signs of infection, but isn't here right now," Cai Qiang said truthfully, not daring to conceal anything. "This is a convalescent home, meant as a precaution. The main focus is observation and psychological counseling."

Since they'd been notified in advance, all the convalescent home's mid- and senior-level leaders had gathered at the entrance to welcome them.

"Chief Chen, hello! Welcome to our facility for an inspection." The director came forward with an enthusiastic smile.
