His heavy footsteps boomed like thunder.
The trench, covered in dirt and flesh, seemed to rise like a gigantic curtain from nowhere. Elysius came into view, dragging his enormous Chainaxe, and charged at Lund like a savage beast.

The Chainaxe seemed alive, its teeth spinning madly. The tens of thousands of souls imprisoned within it all wailed and shrieked!
A sticky rain of blood and the stench of ruptured organs came with the terrifying pressure of the great axe as it crashed down on the helpless Lund!
A cruel smile had already spread across Elysius's face. He was ready to enjoy the human's wails and screams as his bones were crushed.
But just before death claimed him, a power welled up inside Lund from who knew where. He abruptly raised his head and stared at the Chainaxe, now only inches away. There was no fear in his eyes, nor despair—only a will as unshakable as bedrock, almost utterly calm.
He saw it—an opportunity!

The pain of flesh being shredded all along the way nearly overwhelmed him, but he pulled out an inconspicuous dagger.
