An enemy of all humanity?
The Xia Nation Representative let out a low chuckle, his eyes filled with disdain. He lightly tapped his fingertip, raised his head slightly, and cast a sidelong glance at the Western representatives before saying meaningfully, "Are you saying that if we don't agree to your proposal, we'll become public enemies of humanity?"
He spoke very softly.
Yet every representative of the alliance's member states could hear a hint of the clash of arms and the stench of bloodshed in his quiet tone.
"This is also for 'the future of all humanity.'"
At this point, America could not possibly back down.
His attitude grew extremely forceful. Leaning forward slightly, he brought an invisible pressure to bear and continued raising the banner of humanity to pressure this unreasonable fellow.
If possible, he did not want things to escalate, either.
After all, if things truly blew up, it would not align with their "interests" either. Besides, they had more than one "enemy"—they still had the issue of ET0 to deal with!
"I hope you can think this through. Humanity's current predicament requires us to work together." Since force was ineffective, they could only try a softer approach. The American Representative attempted a conciliatory policy. "Our starting point is also humanity's safety, isn't it? We're only placing his plan and him under our surveillance. If you agree, we can absolutely discuss letting you send people to participate in the monitoring as well. How about it?"
He believed this was already an enormous concession.
