The plan to completely fuse all of humanity with the Trisolarans, on the level of their souls and minds, and achieve absolute mental communion was utterly insane!
Even the Inquisition, notorious for its extremes and full of all manner of fiends, paled in comparison to Frederick Taylor's mad plan.
That was no exaggeration.
Isaac, the undisputed leader of the fanatics, had to admit that Taylor outdid him in both extremism and radicalism!

The old man had headed the Inquisition for nearly two hundred years. He prided himself on having seen every sort of demon and monster, and believed that nothing could unsettle him anymore. Yet in that moment, Taylor's "insane plan" left him more shocked than he could fathom.
It wasn't as if he had never wondered.
Why had his old friend gone mad, transforming from a hero who had stood against the Trisolaran Civilization as a Wallfacer into the leader of the ETO?
The reason was truly baffling.

There was an enormous gulf between those two positions.
The Department of the Munitorum was merely an administrative department under the Administratum, on the same level as the Department of Internal Affairs. Perhaps that was why Frederick Taylor had grown resentful and ended up where he was now.
