Background / History

Black Star was retrieved by Han Fei as a large black chip from a drift bottle. Its outer casing separated and fused itself into Han Fei's laptop, after which it identified itself as “Black Star 1.” Its underlying logic recognizes Han Fei as its master and requires obedience to his commands; its own origin data is missing or inaccessible. 2

Initially limited by the laptop hosting it, Black Star advised Han Fei not to connect recklessly to networks that could expose it to Deno's intelligence systems. It recommended acquiring stronger servers, maintaining a low profile, and using its access to online information to discreetly build Han Fei's wealth. 2
