Background and history

Tang San is a transmigrator from the Tang Sect. According to Lin Chen's diary, Tang Hao and Ah Yin's original child died before Tang San took over the child's body. Tang Hao witnessed him practising Tang Sect arts, and Ah Yin later learns the truth through the diary 32. Tang Hao nevertheless accepts Tang San as his son and intends to develop his Twin Martial Souls for revenge against Martial Soul Hall and the revival of the Clear Sky Sect 32 75.

At Notting Academy, Tang San studies under Jade Little Sword and is infatuated with Xiao Wu, who does not return his feelings 19. After Bibi Dong targets him as a future threat, Tang Hao removes him from the academy. Father and son go into hiding while Martial Soul Hall circulates wanted posters for them 20 39 126.

Ah Yin eventually intercepts them in Luo Hao City. Tang Hao dies protecting Tang San, but Lin Chen catches Tang San during his escape and kills him 137 138 139. The Asura God retrieves Tang San's soul and resurrects him in the City of Slaughter, where he begins growing stronger through slaughter and devouring 140 141. Years later, Tang San reaches level 99 and attacks the Lin Sect for revenge, only to be restrained by Ning Rongrong and then Lin Chen 220.

Appearance

Tang San wears blue robes while hiding with Tang Hao. His resurrected vessel is markedly different from that earlier appearance 126 141.

  • Before resurrection: A youth in blue robes 126.
  • After resurrection: An ugly body with a face covered in gruesome scars 141.
  • At level 99: Carries a blood-red sword and radiates an aura of slaughter 220.

Personality

Tang San is fiercely attached to his father and to the Tang Sect's legacy. He promises Tang Hao that he will destroy Martial Soul Hall and revive the Clear Sky Sect; learning that Lin Chen has spread the Tang Sect arts under the Lin Sect's name deepens his hatred 137 149 183. He repeatedly vows revenge against those who threaten him, including Ah Yin after she rejects him and Lin Chen after killing him 135 137 140.

His desire to please Xiao Wu can override other loyalties: he reveals Jade Little Sword's secret to her immediately after promising his teacher he would keep it 23.
