Background / History

Styx created Mingzhu as a Blood God Incarnation and named him after forming the clone. Mingzhu supported Styx during the Law Tree's Ninefold Formation, helping him defeat successive Law Envoys; afterward, the exhausted Mingzhu returned to Styx's Sea of Consciousness to recover. 14

Mingzhu was formed from Styx's divine soul and Nether Bone Bamboo. Initially only a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal, he advanced to Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal under Styx's support and Wu Mo's Dao instruction. 30

Styx dispatched Mingzhu to the Witch Clan battlefield to repay a karmic debt owed to Di Jiang and Zhu Jiuyin. Mingzhu intervened against Nine Infants while supporting Hou Yi against Fei Lian. 30

Under the name Nether Bamboo, he later developed Buddhism among the Human Race. His Daoist temple was moved to the Human Race Ancestral Land, where Buddhism gained followers and became a force competing with the other Sage sects. 116

Mingzhu is decisive and openly contemptuous of threats. Rather than answer Fei Lian's inquiry, he immediately attacked Nine Infants and treated the Demon Emperor's possible retaliation as insignificant. 30

He fights strategically rather than relying on overwhelming offense. During the battle with Nine Infants, he deliberately maneuvered toward Hou Yi so that he could restore Hou Yi's strength and reverse Fei Lian's advantage. 30
