Background and History
Before the descent of Sovereign Sparks, the world existed in a far more chaotic era without Sovereign Gods. Lota became a Sovereign God after a Sovereign Spark descended, created the Dark God Plane, and later established systems such as the Shadow Castle and its mission assessments. 19
A Sovereign Spark is the embodiment of a portion of the Heaven and Earth Rules. It elevates its refiner beyond ordinary godhood through authority and Willpower Might rather than by raising their cultivation realm beyond Paragon High-God. 5
The earliest major conflict among Sovereigns was a free-for-all involving the eleven Overlords. After Supreme God artifacts appeared, the Four Great Rule Rulers grew beyond the others; the Sovereign God Agreement subsequently ended open Sovereign conflict for countless trillions of years. 23 24
Hierarchy and Classification
| Rank / Classification | Description |
|---|---|
| Sovereign God | A being empowered by a Sovereign Spark, possessing authority over a portion of the Heaven and Earth Rules. 5 |
| Overlord | One of the eleven foremost Sovereigns between heaven and earth. 7 |
| Four Great Rule Rulers | Four Overlords regarded as holding higher standing than the other Overlords. 7 |
| Rule Overlord | A classification reserved for a same-tier Sovereign whose strength exceeds peers by roughly a thousandfold; Lota was formally recognized at this level. 51 52 |
Among Sovereigns of the same tier, a tenfold gap can suppress an opponent and a hundredfold gap can kill them, but a thousandfold gap is treated as sufficient for reclassification. Between different Sovereign tiers, even a hundredfold gap produces a decisive difference in speed and escape ability. 52
Authority and Powers
Sovereign Spark Authority
A Sovereign Spark grants authority that ordinary God-level beings cannot replicate, even when their comprehension of profound mysteries is comparable. 5
- Can kill most God-level beings with a single thought; Paragon High-Gods are the stated exception. 5 19
- Grants projection clones and giant-face projections that can manifest on other planes without requiring the Sovereign's main body to travel. 5
- A Sovereign's manifested form may vary, but its Sovereign Power identifies its elemental lineage. 22
- Sovereign pressure forces those below Grand Perfection to kneel involuntarily. 11
Sovereign Power
Sovereign Power is a superior energy source whose effectiveness depends on its user. It can provide an all-around enhancement of roughly a hundredfold or more over ordinary divine power in the hands of capable God-level experts. 11 21
- Enables Sovereign emissaries and other God-level users to contend with opponents far above their normal level. 11 21
- Is distinct from a Sovereign Artifact; an equal combatant wielding a Sovereign Artifact can defeat one relying only on Sovereign Power. 31
- Cannot overcome every difference in personal strength; an overwhelming base-power gap can still defeat its user. 21
Stabilization of Heaven and Earth
Overgods serve a direct role in maintaining the world's rules. During a world instability, they joined the four Supreme Gods and supplied Sovereign's Might and the Willpower Might within their Sovereign Sparks to stabilize heaven and earth. 131
Sovereign Spark Removal
Sovereign status can be relinquished when a Sovereign Spark is removed. Lota demonstrated the ability to strip Sovereign Sparks from Ofu and Thanatos, allowing them to pursue Space Law and the possibility of becoming God Kings. 133
Those sent from the Magic Universe to the Main Universe lose their Overgod status and must begin again under the new universe's rules. 133 Ilitana likewise lost her Sovereign Spark yet retained an extraordinarily powerful physical body. 134
