"If you were given a new life in a parallel world, what would you do with it?"

In the darkness, a magnetic voice whispered softly in his ear.

Hoo...

It sounded like the wind, or perhaps a person's breath. The darkness then gradually brightened, and a first-person perspective view emerged from the darkness, as if someone slowly opened their eyes.

Before him was a sky covered in dark clouds. The person raised their hand, rubbed their eyes, and then struggled to sit up.

As his gaze shifted, what came into view was a dilapidated city under a sky of oppressive dark clouds.

The city was built strangely. Along the streets were many old thatched huts, but behind these huts stood towering buildings, one next to another, much like a modern residential complex.

"Unfortunately, you've been reborn into a dark and turbulent era..."

The magnetic male voice continued to narrate in his ear, his voice devoid of any inflection. "You might be a thief, or a farmer, or a bard..."

Then, the view before him suddenly swayed, and slowly rose, as if the owner of the gaze had stood up from the ground.

Next, he looked around, and the camera showed the full view of the surroundings. It was a muddy, dirty street, the ground covered in filth. A few ragged, sallow-faced pedestrians walked past him, paying him no mind.

"You awaken from darkness, and the first thing you must do is not anything else, but to find a way to adapt to this body..."

The male voice continued to narrate calmly. As he spoke, the image shook again, as if the owner of the gaze stumbled a few steps before steadying himself.
