• A boundary’s rules affect cultivation, comprehension, usable energies, and the effectiveness of treasures. In the Dark Sea, faint law intent prevents Chen Lin from bringing Five Thunders Smite the Crown to great accomplishment 1104.
• Cultivation systems differ between boundaries. The Valley Millet Realm, for example, begins cultivation with a stage called form-toggling 944.
• Boundaries can have markedly different cultivation ceilings. In the pillar-heaven world, Great Vehicle practitioners exist, but are confined to the first pillar sky 1050.
• Higher-dimensional environments can suppress otherwise powerful methods. In Lin Ergou’s boundary, even the original body’s barely developed local mana restricts much of Chen Lin’s internal energy and soul power 2041.

Routes and Restrictions

• Boundary-breaking tools — Discs and talismans can open passages through boundary walls. Formations may obstruct them: Chen Lin must activate both a Bright Peak token and a Kaiyuan Realm array token before one passage fully opens 1538 1888.
• Nightmare Realm scenarios — Can connect explorers from different boundaries. The Myriad Realms Alliance forms within scenarios rather than through meetings in the Reality Realm 650.
• True-body access — Blue Butterfly seeks a scenario leading to a boundary with Demonic Qi because she needs to enter in her actual body 937.
• Primal Domain barriers — Prevent Chen Lin from entering several Lower Primal Domain scenarios even with a Golden Road Guide 1401.
• Gate of Reality — A Primal Domain Rift offers passage toward the Upper Primal Domain, but begins shrinking before Chen Lin enters 1207.

Separation Between Boundaries

• Hundred Flowers Fairy’s Split Soul proposes moving to another boundary to escape detection by a Reincarnated Mighty Figure. Chen Lin remains wary that the pursuer might overcome the restriction 750.
• Chen Lin and Blue Butterfly cannot freely exchange ordinary possessions while in different boundaries; their available trade is limited to Nightmare Realm Items 937.

Boundary Changes

Boundary Will and Transcendence

According to Princess Gege Yun, the Primary Boundary Will originally created Nightmare Realm projections to prevent beings from surpassing their native realms. These projected spirits were constrained by Nightmare Realm rules. She presents the fusion of reflections as necessary for attaining Transcendence, or the Eternal Realm, and escaping native-boundary limitations 1538.

• The Nightmare Realm’s rules later changed, producing strange creatures and guardians; its current Law Controller is no longer a pure embodiment of the original rules 1538.
• Gege Yun nevertheless states that no one can alter the Nightmare Realm’s foundational rules 1538.

Use in Formations

• The Stele Legacy describes a method requiring seven neighboring boundaries as Array Cores 2480.
• Chen Lin draws destiny force from the seven boundaries’ inhabitants, numbering far beyond ten billion. After using a small portion to track the Feng Family Ancestor, he absorbs the remainder to strengthen himself 2481.
• Bearing their intertwined destinies imposes an enormous burden, forcing him to divert some of it through his destiny heart aperture 2481.

Exploration

• Neither high-dimensional nor low-tier boundaries have been fully catalogued. Many remain unknown 2172.
• Some boundaries are invisible, making investigation dangerous. The Star Ruins consequently contain extensive unexplored territory 2172.
• The Bizarre Kingdom’s emergence nearly destroyed major factions. After the Punishment Hall forced its creatures back and subsequently disappeared, those factions became reluctant to explore unknown regions aggressively 2172.
