Luo Qinglan led Qingyang Sect while it faced escalating pressure from the Lieyang Sect. Her master had been killed by Huang Yu, forcing her to endure yearly tribute while seeking both revenge and the strength to preserve the sect 121 249.

Preparing for Golden Core formation, she unexpectedly obtained Spirit Milk from Chen Lin. She repaid him with a Mirror Breaking Pill, a Marrow Cleansing Pill Recipe, and a future promise of Sha Qi, but confined him inside his Cave Mansion for half a month to conceal the transaction. Mu Xingchen used the Spirit Milk to refine a Core Formation Pill for her 122. When Huang Yu came to intimidate Qingyang Sect and traitor Ye Zhenqin exposed her breakthrough location, Luo Qinglan appeared to protect a sect member from Huang Yu's attack 123.

Her breakthrough was followed by a Peach Blossom Devil Tribulation. Ye Jin Xuan used her innate ability to merge with the Peach Blossom Sha spirit and exploit Luo Qinglan's intervention against other victims; the resulting Sha spirit merged with Luo Qinglan's inner devil 131.
