It was obviously an arc of electricity, traveling from my right hand to my left.
Boom!
Just as I was thinking about it, a flame suddenly flickered to life on the piece of wood in front of me. Despite the bitter winter cold, it kept
burning.
"It caught?"
I stared at the sight, stunned.
Was that electric spark really that hot?
No, wait! Put it out first!
I hurriedly grabbed a broken bamboo basket, filled half of it with snow, then ran back and smothered the flame.
Hiss—
A wisp of smoke rose, and the flame went out.
"Phew..."
My body was gradually getting tired. Maybe it was because I'd used my ability too many times?
Right, that was enough for today. If I kept going, I'd probably exhaust myself.
Thinking back to that moment just now, and how the electricity had mostly come from my right hand, did that mean... my right hand was the positive pole,
and my left hand was the negative pole?
That didn't quite add up, though. I could generate a current between two fingers, too.
So, thinking about it, was my body in a state where it could be either positive or negative?
Uh... I wondered if charging myself would work.
I remembered that the twins had a solar charging panel. Maybe I could... give it a try?
If I really could absorb electricity and convert it into heat, could that replace the heat energy my body consumed?
If so, would I be able to eat my fill just by charging myself?
Would that make me a robot?
But... it wasn't impossible, was it?
I was torn.
Torn between being human and being a robot.
But... after thinking it over for a long while, I suddenly realized something.
What was there to be torn
