I rolled up on top of a table, then
slipped underneath and hid there. Then I checked the rifle.
It was conveniently designed, basically no different from any other assault rifle.
As I checked its attachments, I pricked up my ears and listened for footsteps around me.
Before long, the footsteps drew closer, surrounding the area!
Did the other side have radios to communicate?
How had they pinpointed my location?
No, they hadn't.
As I wondered, a foot passed in front of me, moving slowly. I looked up, then raised the G36 in my hands,
aiming at the back of his head. He was wearing a
helmet, but at this range, a helmet like that was useless.
BANG!
A gunshot rang out. The man in front of me was sent flying, a jet of blood spraying from his head as he fell face-first to the ground, his limbs
twitching.
It was only a reflex. In reality, the moment his skull was blown apart, he had already lost consciousness.
As soon as I fired, gunshots rang out not far away, and the ground in front of me burst into flying sand with a string of papapapa!
I instinctively shut my eyes and shielded them with my arm, lest the flying sand get in them. Getting sand in my eyes now would be practically the same as dying.
I hurriedly crawled backward and slipped out from the other side of the table. I couldn't do what they did in the movies and use a table to stop
bullets. At this range,
even a five-millimeter-thick steel plate would struggle to stop assault-rifle rounds!
Wood? That was basically asking to die!
Movies really were full of lies!
As I thought this, the gunfire in the distance didn't stop. It was clear they had swung
