There's Nothing Here?

So, when I imagined cockroaches in my mind, every pore on my body opened, and the roots of my hair stood on end,

My face tingled in waves, and I desperately wanted to

leave as quickly as possible.

Before long, we reached the bottom of the innermost cargo container. If this girl hadn't led the way, I probably would have died of exhaustion without ever finding

an entrance like this.

Soon, she led me into the ventilation duct. Before crawling inside, I looked back. I had thought the sound belonged to cockroaches, but when my

eyes saw those pincers nearly fifty centimeters long and all that leg hair, my scalp nearly flew off.

Scorpions!

Swarm after swarm of scorpions crawled rapidly through the entrance. They weren't very fast, but there were far too many of them, and each one was nearly

a meter long. That didn't even

include the huge pincers and the tail behind them. Counting everything, each one was over three meters long!

The sight of all those hairy legs made my face twitch. I turned around and crawled into the vent at the fastest speed of my life.

Fortunately, no matter what, those scorpions had hard bodies and were too wide, so there was no way they could crawl into a ventilation duct like this.

Once inside the ventilation duct, I couldn't help letting out a long breath, and Zhan Tong beside me did the same.

The two of us sat together. This seemed to be a place where several ventilation ducts converged, so there was much more space.

"Those scorpions are huge."

"Yeah. Those guys are always looking for us."
