Even as a spider, it wasn't slow. It was just weighed down by its huge body!

"Die!"

Gritting my teeth as I looked at its enormous body, I took aim at the base of one of its legs and leaped. I'd meant to land right on the joint and chop the leg off, but the spider had apparently seen it coming. It suddenly stopped, then opened its mouth and sprayed a stream of black liquid at me!

Crap!

I was still in midair!

I gritted my teeth!

No choice. At a time like this, whoever backed down would die!

Full power!

"Crackle! Bzzzz!"

An arc of electricity suddenly burst from the back of my hand. Then blue lightning erupted all over my body, quickly dancing around me!

"Ahhhhh!"

"Psssh! Psssh!"

The instant the blue light touched the black liquid, a cloud of steam burst out. I instinctively held my breath and unleashed my electricity in a furious torrent. The lightning flashed all around me, and the black liquid in front of me rapidly dwindled as steam billowed out in an instant!

By the time I broke through the steamy haze and could see the spider again, I had less than a third of my electricity left.

It had taken a huge amount of power, but I'd used the chance to reach the base of one of the spider's legs. The Big Kukri in my hand came crashing down, stabbing hard into the joint!

"Discharge!"

"Bzzzzzzzzzz!"

Black smoke poured wildly from the joint at the base of the spider's leg, accompanied by a shriek of agony from the Black Spider.
