I'd have to tell Bai Chi about this village when we got back. The whole place had gone completely insane!
These people had something wrong with their heads. What the hell was my luck? Why did I keep running into weirdos everywhere I went?
I changed back, then quietly retraced my steps, doing my best to clean up any traces I'd left behind. I followed the back of the house and returned to the window,
then jumped straight inside.
The moment I landed, I saw Bai Chi lying on the floor, his face flushed and a little tent already pitched beneath his waist.
He'd never been much of a drinker. Maybe it was the combination of alcohol and drugs that had given him a dirty dream? I suddenly got goosebumps.
There was no helping it. I crept over to him without hesitation. To make sure he didn't climb into bed on his own tonight, I'd better knock him out first, just to be safe.
If I really wanted to make sure, though, cutting it off would be quicker. But since the idiot had been worried about me, I decided to let him off.
Otherwise, I wouldn't mind performing a little surgery. I'd never done it before, but I was absolutely confident I could manage!
Well! I was pretty familiar with anatomy, at least. I wouldn't cut in the wrong place.
Lost in my thoughts, I struck Bai Chi on the back of the neck without hesitation.
"Uh?"
That was all Bai Chi managed to say. His body stopped squirming, and he lay quietly on the floor, which put my mind at ease.
I covered him with a blanket so he wouldn't catch a cold. Otherwise, I'd have to take care of him, and that would be even more trouble.
