In the end, I moved everything onto the car, stuffing it
until it was packed full. Forget the back seat—even the space underneath the car where someone could hide was filled with food.
I drove into the middle of the street and turned to look at the people who'd brought me here: Ling Yun, Wu Li, Xie Ming, and Bai Chi. After saying goodbye to all four of them,
I turned and got into the car, then twisted
the key and hit the gas. I didn't even look back as I drove straight down the street and into the desert.
I got Ling Yun's answer: as long as I came back alive, she'd join me.
Since that was settled, I didn't hesitate. I drove straight out, following a compass along the way.
But in this vast desert,
why hadn't I seen any of the sandworms Ling Yun mentioned?
Nothing happened today, and I hadn't driven very far. I found a river, parked by the bank, lowered the seat, and decided to take a nap first~
Chapter 47: A Sound!
Lying back in the seat, I opened the sunroof to let in some fresh air. Through it, I could see the bright stars outside.
Before the apocalypse, I'd never seen a sky this clear.
But after seeing it every day since the apocalypse, I wasn't all that interested anymore.
I couldn't sleep... What should I do?

I stared at the sky and counted the stars out of boredom. Before I knew it, my eyes had closed. I had no idea how much time passed.
I seemed to be sitting in some kind of... flying vehicle? Then, all of a sudden, I lost control and started falling, over and over.
At the very last moment, just as
