I waved, then turned back to look out the window. The vehicle started up again. Erniu had already studied the map, so we left YM City without incident and headed for the next stop.
"Um... Sister Fang, just now... were you the one who saved me?"
I was chewing bubble gum when I heard Li Erniu's voice from behind me.
"You thanked me, and then asked if I was the one who saved you?"
My mouth twitched. What was wrong with this guy's brain?

I waved a hand and leaned my seat back a little, settling into a more comfortable position.

They both spoke at once, then looked at each other.
"Did you two never go to school?"
My mouth twitched, but the two of them actually shook their heads.
"Forget it. Just think of it as a special ability of mine. I can't explain it."
The two of them nodded, looking like they understood, more or less.
And so, the vehicle continued on, leaving YM City behind.
