I twitched the corner of my mouth.
"Do you think I'm that kind of person now?"
Ning Jing froze for a moment, then lowered her head and fell silent, her face twisted with indecision.
"Enough... Don't say anything."
What else could she say? The conflicted look on Ning Jing's face made it obvious she didn't want to lie! Damn it, since when did I need to lie to support my claim of still being a virgin?!

I clenched my teeth. Better to look away and save myself the annoyance. I stopped looking at Ning Jing.
"Pilot up front, how long until we reach the XZ Military Region?"
"Reporting! We're six hours away from the XZ Military Region."
"Understood. Make it quick."
Planes really were fast. At this speed, we had to be going over three hundred kilometers an hour, right?
The rain outside hammered against the window, its patter even drowning out the sound of the rotor.
Six hours? That wasn't too long.
I nodded at the thought and closed my eyes to rest.
There was bound to be a major battle ahead. Aside from anything else, those flying bugs would be a huge obstacle, and then we'd have to face the swarm. Things would only get more troublesome from here.
As I rested with my eyes closed, Ning Jing didn't say anything either. I didn't know how much time passed before the pilot's voice came through my headset.
"Attention, we're approaching the central area of the rainforest belt and will soon pass over it. Be on your guard. If anything dangerous happens, open fire immediately."
"Copy!"
Ning Jing responded at once, then glanced at me before turning her gaze out the window.
