All right, I didn't have any other way out. The only thing I had was the confidence that I could survive anywhere. Even if someone threw me into the deep sea right now, I figured I could still survive. I'd just have to eat everything raw.

I didn't recognize the name at all.
After all, I'd never been to XZ before. But all I could see were vast stretches of high mountains.
The mountains were lush and green. I remembered seeing a photo of XZ once, online. Most mountain ridges usually had snow-covered peaks, which looked very impressive.
But now, perhaps because of global climate change, the snow had melted in most places. Many peaks were covered in green, thick with vegetation.
The plants weren't as tall as those in the rainforest, though. Maybe that was because of the altitude? Or perhaps there wasn't enough water. In any case, the plants here were fairly short, probably only about half a meter tall.
A height that humans could live with, at least.
After all, trees over a hundred meters tall weren't exactly something you saw every day.
