Then her eyes softened somewhat as she added the second wish in her heart. "Second, after your child is safely born, I hope the child can be entrusted to me for upbringing and care."

Having laid out both matters, she showed not the slightest hint of coercion. They were wholly the earnest requests of a mother who had deliberated over them for a long time.

Lu Yuan lowered his eyes in silent thought, his fingertips twitching slightly as a clear decision had already formed in his heart.
