The End-Dharma War Is Here!
Blow the door down?
Were criminals this brazen these days? Or had I accidentally posted something online so suicidal that the authorities were really here to check my water meter?
No way. I was a law-abiding citizen. I had never posted any inflammatory remarks online. The only way I vented the darkness in my heart was by giving every movie a one-star review.
Just as he was thinking this, the door to his residence was gently opened.
The young man lived in a simple rental unit with one bedroom, one bathroom, and one living room, but no kitchen. The living room was where he usually played on his computer, directly facing the front door.
The door hadn't been blown apart... but it was as though an invisible hand had twisted the lock and opened it. The sight was especially horrifying.
Next, two tall men entered the room.
One wore a smile and seemed to radiate goodwill. At a glance, he gave off a reliable air.
The other wore an expression of displeasure, clearly the one who had just said he wanted to blow the door down.
The young man cried out in terror, "Who are you? Don't come any closer! Come any closer and I'll call the police!"
"Little brother, don't be nervous. We mean you no harm." The smiling man thought for a moment before saying, "Do you want money?"
You mean me no harm, yet you broke into my home? The young man immediately thought of all sorts of frightening scenes from movies, such as foreign criminals choosing ordinary people and forcing them to transport drugs.
"I do like money, of course, but I won't do anything illegal. You can forget about it!" As he spoke, the young man quietly dialed the police.
