The perfect, streamlined crystal, originally no larger than a fingernail, began releasing its bound magnetic force layer by layer.

With each layer, the crystal expanded a hundredfold.

After unfolding three times in succession, this wondrous power, almost like the folding of space, instantly expanded the crystal, which had been only a few centimeters across, a millionfold, transforming it into a colossal droplet nearly a thousand meters in diameter.

But even so!

Facing the attack of a fifth-level True God creature, Shatuo remained within the crystal's protection, yet could still feel strands of the exalted Light Law. Each fine ray seemed like a tangible flame, piercing the water curtain and landing on him, burning something deeper within him.

"This feeling..."

As a warlock who concealed himself behind the identity of a scholar, Shatuo could readily explain everything he faced through two different ways of thinking.

At that moment, as the Light Law's attack struck directly at certain fundamental aspects of his life, he seemed to understand, in an instant, the essential reason the Holy See and the warlocks countered and rejected one another.
