Hu Liena still couldn't accept it and let out a scream of mingled shame and indignation:

The melting wax ran down the candle, drop by drop, like tears.
Day One!
After spending some time with Hu Liena,
Ye Qiu went to his residence: the luxurious but not particularly spacious mansion he had finally claimed in Death Canyon after numerous twists and turns in Spirit City.
It seemed to be a festive occasion.
The gates were decked with lanterns and decorations, bright red as blood.
After Ye Qiu knocked, the two gates slowly swung open... followed by another two. He strode in openly and was immediately met by a wave of warmth.
As soon as he entered, he found himself on a long street lined with houses and shops, one after another. The place's prosperity and the urgency of the lives within it were an eye-opener.
Even though this was his first time here,
the commoners in the residence didn't reject him, their first lord. After all, Hu Liena had willingly given him the mansion after he had won over the Golden Generation in Spirit City.
They were naturally quite pleased. They poured out hot water to welcome him, swept the roads, and lined the street to greet him.
Ye Qiu was fairly satisfied with the place.
Before long,
he made his way unhindered into the depths of the mansion, where he saw a musical fountain playing a lively tune. The music was calm and unhurried, while clear water shot into the air from the pool every so often.
All around it were clusters of brightly colored flowers,
their heady fragrance filling the air.
Ye Qiu was quite pleased as he strolled around his residence.
He listened to the music from the fountain.
Only after the fountain
