Background

Li first appears as a young child travelling through the Void with Lin Yuan, whom he calls “Father.” Though frightened by the unknown beyond the Lighthouse Star, he is receptive to Lin Yuan’s teachings about light, life, and the path ahead 613 615.

As Lin Yuan’s existence begins to dissipate after repairing a cosmic chasm, he leaves Li the Seed of Dao Weaving. The seed awakens during Lin Yuan’s final stand against Void and the ancient realms, allowing Li to lend him strength and inherit the duty of guarding the Lighthouse Star 618 620.

A later revelation reframes Li and Lin Yuan’s relationship: in the true ruined reality, Li was the sole child Lin Yuan saved before becoming the original Seed of Dao Weaving. Li subsequently created countless scripts in the Void in an effort to bring Lin Yuan back to life 628.
