Background

Ye Chen and Ye Long originate from the same Ye clan but different lineages. After Ye Long became Saint Son, Ye Chen’s branch was expelled from the family. 400

As a youth, Ye Chen was rescued from Sword Name Manor by Yu Lan and her mother, Blue Devil. He recovered at Blue Devil Palace, cultivated and spent time with Yu Lan, and promised to return for her after attaining fame and power. Blue Devil later expelled him, considering him an impoverished boy unworthy of Yu Lan. 429
