After the sect master left, Du Yushu stepped forward and called out, "Good. The third part—everyone, please recite the oath. I'll say it once, then you repeat it. Understood?"

"Yes!" the disciples answered in unison.

Du Yushu drew a deep breath and spoke slowly. "Today I become a true disciple. My heart turns toward the Great Dao. I will strictly observe the sect's rules, devote myself to understanding the Dao, ward off demons beyond our gates, protect my fellow disciples within, and prove worthy of the sect's cultivation and my lifelong practice." Every word rang clear and strong.

The disciples repeated the oath: "Today I become a true disciple. My heart turns toward the Great Dao.
