Background

Medusa ruled the Serpent-Human Clan from its Tagor Desert capital. The clan consisted of eight major tribes led by Dou Kings, while four Supreme Elders would intervene only in a life-or-death crisis. As the clan's sole openly known Dou Emperor, Medusa maintained deterrence against neighboring human nations through a ruthless reputation and repeated military pressure. 63 87

Her cultivation had stagnated at the peak of the Dou Emperor realm for more than a decade because her symbiotic Purple Netherflame Serpent had insufficient bloodline potential. Believing that stagnation would endanger her people, Medusa resolved to risk the clan's ancient evolution method, despite records showing that more than ten previous queens had died attempting it. She ordered the clan's spies to search surrounding nations for a Heavenly Flame. 64 78 91

After learning that Xiao Han possessed a Heavenly Flame, Medusa personally captured him and implanted a Dou Qi restriction in his heart to force his cooperation. During the return journey, however, Xiao Han and the mind-controlled Yue Mei ambushed her; Medusa was critically injured while saving Yue Mei and was subsequently defeated by Xiao Han's soul power. 87 88

Appearance

Before evolving, Medusa was a tall Serpent-Human woman with a humanoid upper body and a purple snake tail. After her evolution, she retained her identity and beauty but appeared as a shorter, younger human-form girl. 63 117 118

Her pride remains intact even after defeat and enslavement; she repeatedly resists Xiao Han internally and resents the loss of her freedom. Nevertheless, her greatest vulnerability is her responsibility toward her clan. When Xiao Han threatened the Serpent-Human Clan, Medusa submitted rather than risk its destruction. 89 91 92

Over time, she becomes more receptive to Xiao Han's plans after he supplies pills, proposes ending the clan's raids, and promises to seek a more suitable homeland for her people. On the night of a full moon, Medusa transforms into a giant purple serpent and endures Xiao Han's Demon Flame tempering her body and soul.
