Background / History

Sakura is a Moon Cell AI assigned to manage the infirmary and the health of Holy Grail War participants. When she first encounters Shirone, she is feverish, overlooked by the other students, and startled that Shirone can perceive her. Despite her condition, she identifies herself as a first-year student affiliated with the infirmary 932 933.

After recovering, Sakura resumes her infirmary duties. She treats the injured Shirone and determines that his sudden weakness stems from magical-energy depletion after contracting a Servant. The arrival of Archer Shirou unsettles her because he evokes the reassuring “Senpai” image associated with her original counterpart, leaving her confused by the existence of two people fitting that role 938.

Sakura later agrees to receive the remaining portion of Sesshoin’s Five Meditation Obstacles so it can be transferred into the defensive barrier and help the group escape the Inner Moon. She accepts despite being warned that taking over the sorcery’s root could overwrite her base personality 959.
