Background

Xue Lingyun was an infant found on the icy plains and raised in the Ice Palace by the Snow Emperor. Though Bing Di initially distrusted him because he was human, both she and the Snow Emperor recognized the exceptional purity of his Extreme Ice. As a child, he became attached to the Snow Emperor's protection and gradually accepted Bing Di and Xiao Bai as family. 3 8

Before his martial soul awakening, he spent years strengthening his body and studying his own fate through the Huangji Jingshi. Believing that he carried twin top-tier martial souls, he underwent an ice-and-fire body tempering process to build a foundation capable of supporting them. 8 9

His martial souls awakened as the life-oriented Primal Heart and the dragon-type Ice Prison Dragon King. Following the Snow Emperor's advice, he initially focused on the Primal Heart, whose stable and accommodating nature was better suited to establishing his foundation. 10
