The Discussion

After the dazzling opening of the first episode, the story moved into a dull series of character introductions. Then the second episode spent a minute or two on the story of a robot and a girl in a world on the brink of ending, before moving on to the everyday conversations between Furukawa Nagisa and Okazaki Tomoya...

Unlike Kimi ni Todoke, where it was clear that Kuronuma Sawako and Kazehaya Shouta liked each other, neither lead had shown even a hint of those feelings toward the other by the end of the second episode.

A slow burn, huh... I could understand that.

But the rest of the second episode delved deeper into the stories of the characters introduced in the first...

Of course, there was one key character in this episode who left a deep impression on viewers.

That was Sakagami Tomoyo...

Sunohara Youhei provoked her again. Not only did the male lead set him up, but she also kicked him straight into the trash chute.

She had a cold expression, but seemed like she might be warm-hearted underneath. And she was ridiculously strong... unexpectedly cute!

"Damn, this girl is so interesting!"

"I think Sakagami Tomoyo should be the heroine!"

"I agree. Furukawa Nagisa is cute too, but Sakagami Tomoyo is clearly more compelling!"

"That hundred-kick combo Sakagami Tomoyo landed on Sunohara was so cool. It was like an epic combo in a dungeon-crawler game—Sunohara was floating in the air the whole time, and the final kick sent him flying into the trash chute!"

"This guy's clearly here for comic relief. Poor thing, but I hope there are more scenes of Sunohara getting beaten up by Sakagami Tomoyo. They're hilarious!"
