All evening, Chu Yu had been so thoroughly plied with drinks by his employees that his head was spinning!
Of course, given Chu Yu's position in the company, he could simply turn his face away and say he wasn't drinking. No one would dare say anything, much less take offense!
But Chu Yu was softhearted. When people came over with smiles, he couldn't very well give them the cold shoulder. He had a drink with each person, and before long, things started to get out of hand.
The same went for Su Ruo, sitting beside him. Her face was flushed, and when they looked at each other, they both felt the other's body swaying from side to side. In reality, though, it was their own bodies that were swaying.
People could usually tell when they were about to get drunk. When Chu Yu sensed trouble, he immediately stopped drinking and hurriedly signaled for Su Ruo to stop, too!
But even after they stopped drinking, the alcohol's effects only grew stronger.
Sitting at the head of the table, Chu Yu's head drooped. He didn't want to think about anything.
He didn't know how much time had passed when someone helped him to his feet.
"Chu Yu, it's late. Go get some rest!"
A voice sounded beside his ear.
"Is that so? Is the party over?"
Chu Yu looked up. The entire hall was a mess, with people sprawled across the tables, the floor, and the chairs!
The dining tables, which had earlier been laden with all kinds of rare ingredients and fine wine, were now in complete disarray.
But no one had dared to go rest yet.
After all, Chu Yu, the person in charge of the company, hadn't announced that the celebration was over!
Su Ruo had anticipated this before
