None of Zhao Qinyin's works had ever been well received at the start! Maybe that would change someday, but so far, L had been criticized for dragging at the beginning, and Slam Dunk had been criticized for straying from the main plot early on. Fullmetal Alchemist's first episode was already much better than either of those two!

But the story didn't continue from there. Instead, it shifted to the brothers' childhood.
