The news online that Attack on Titan might be starting a new storyline had been making waves for days. Now, at last, the buzz had finally died down!
Chu Yu had never given a clear response, so fans could only speculate. Naturally, the excitement surrounding the news gradually faded!
Besides, starting in July, publicity for Dragon Ball, Doraemon, and Pokemon had begun in full force!
Character designs for all kinds of related works were being released one after another!
Chu Yu hadn't simply copied these three works over without changes. Take Dragon Ball, for example: much of the early story dragged. After all, when Akira Toriyama first started out, he had treated Dragon Ball as a comedy. It was only after introducing the Tenkaichi Budokai that he realized fans preferred the action-packed battles. Only later did it fully transform into a Hot-Blooded Battle manga!
If Chu Yu had decided to focus on Dragon Ball's action-packed battles, then some of the early story's inappropriate content and pointless comedic scenes naturally had to be cut. For example, the scene where Goku took off Bulma's underwear and curiously examined the differences between boys and girls; the scene where Bulma lifted her pajamas to show Master Roshi her underwear in exchange for the Dragon Ball in his possession; Yamcha being cucked; and then Vegeta taking that green crown from Yamcha!
Chu Yu needed to change quite a few details. With his current reputation, putting out scenes like those really wouldn't be appropriate. At the very least, he'd probably lose many of his female fans!
For the time being, though, fans were intensely interested in the information Chu Yu's company had released!
