Awakening and Cultivation

Martial Souls awaken during childhood. A person who awakens Innate Soul Power can begin cultivation and potentially become a Soul Master; those without it cannot cultivate, though awakening a Martial Soul still provides some benefit 1 2.

A Martial Soul can be released and withdrawn at will. Soul Masters may use a Martial Soul Avatar to manifest its traits over their bodies and gain combat capabilities associated with it 2 3 33.

Soul Rings are absorbed after reaching the required Soul Power threshold. They grant Soul Skills and increase the user's Soul Power; the Soul Beast selected for a ring can determine the compatibility and direction of later development 12 14 33.

Inheritance and Mutation

Among wealthy families, Martial Souls are commonly passed down through bloodlines. Ordinary people have fewer inherited advantages and may rely on favorable mutations to change their prospects 1.

Canglang Village is associated with the Grey Wolf Martial Soul, which is commonly awakened by its residents. Qin Ming's Inferno Grey Wolf is a beneficial mutation of that lineage in the direction of fire 1 2.

Mutations are not inherently beneficial. Yu Xiaogang's Luo Sanpao is cited as a detrimental mutation with only 0.5 Innate Soul Power, contrasting with Qin Ming's high-quality Inferno Grey Wolf 2.

Types and Properties

Beast Martial Souls

Beast Martial Souls carry an inherent pressure based on their bloodline and quality. A superior beast Martial Soul can suppress weaker beast Martial Souls, causing effects such as dizziness, reduced fighting spirit, and difficulty resisting directly 62.

The Inferno Grey Wolf is a top-tier beast Martial Soul with fire attributes. Its fire is crimson-gold, is described as approaching Ultimate Fire, and becomes the foundation for Qin Ming's offensive development 2 45.
