Background

Wu Hen was born into the formerly wealthy Wu family of Licheng. After his father Wu Yingting's bankruptcy, the family moved from the Silver Plate estate into a single-room home, while Wu Hen left school because tuition and Yu Yu's medical treatment had become unaffordable. He entered the Otherworld Desolate Dust seeking Yuan You, whose recovery reward could support his family. 1

During his first entry, Wu Hen reaches Jue Town and risks his life crossing a bone-covered ritual plaza to seize Yuan You. His struggle against the Symbiotic Girl ends with the Black Miracle's descent, leaving him linked to the Death Sword entity through a symbiotic stamen. 4 5

After the revelation that humanity's former world is virtual, Wu Hen continues entering the Desolate Dust to find the Nuwa Divine Terminal and secure a future for his family. He later reaches the terminal, receives an Original Body, and joins Ming Yi's patrol squad during the locust crisis. 7 8 41 44

Appearance

Wu Hen originally has a slight center-part hairstyle and was seen wearing overalls with a white shirt when leaving school. 1 His Lost One Vessel gradually reshapes itself to resemble his original appearance, eventually matching him by seven or eight parts. 21 28

After the molding rite, his Original Body is described as having refined features and a balanced, athletic build combining strength with grace. 43

Personality

Wu Hen is resilient and strongly family-oriented. His decision to leave school, enter the Desolate Dust, and repeatedly confront lethal threats is driven primarily by his wish to protect Wu Yingting, Yu Yi, and Yu Yu. He refuses to abandon Su Li during the Midnight Mass assault despite having an opportunity to return home alone. 1 15

He is also cocky, theatrical, and fond of provoking others. He repeatedly presents himself as an ordinary person before dramatically revealing his abilities, and he openly calls himself humanity's last Order Keeper in front of his entire school. 30 36 Beneath the bravado, he is observant and adaptive, using enemy behavior, sound, and battlefield conditions to identify weaknesses. 4 32 36
