Disappointment

Song Qingshu had done his share of taking advantage of others' vulnerability before. Back in the Forbidden City, Luo Bing's husband had been thrown into the Heavenly Prison. But the Song Qingshu of today was no longer the same; he disdained such methods now. Besides, Huang Rong was not a foolish woman like Luo Bing, willing to use her body as a bargaining chip to save her husband.

From Song Qingshu's own perspective, he did not want to leave Huang Rong with the impression that he was a despicable man who preyed on others' misfortune. In the long run, that would be more loss than gain.
