In the darkness, red and green silk had been twisted into flowers of varying sizes, adorning the houses and vegetation along the way, dressing the originally dim streets and alleys in a dazzling profusion of color.

The broad avenue was festooned with lanterns and decorations, and a wedding procession was trudging along it.

Within the procession, four cultivators with the character "Double Happiness" pasted to their bodies worked together to carry an ornate red bridal sedan. Its curtains hung low, only occasionally revealing a finger-width gap as it swayed with their steps. Through it, one could vaguely glimpse the bride in red seated inside. Her veil fell straight to her chest, concealing her face. Yet in the crooks of her arms were two Bottle Women, both with exquisite features and smiles at the corners of their mouths.

The four cultivators carrying the sedan had vacant eyes and unfocused gazes, yet their mouths were stretched into exaggerated smiles, their brows and eyes brimming with festively jubilant expressions.

Other cultivators surrounded the red sedan, all with "Double Happiness" pasted to their clothes. They carried lanterns, while some held gongs and drums.

All around the procession, densely packed talismans rose and fell, faintly outlining a circle that enclosed the entire group.

The talismans wound upward into the air, gradually converging. At their end was a crimson-gold Longevity Life-Suppressing Lock, floating squarely above the red sedan and radiating pure spiritual energy.

The entire procession continued onward. Yet though it never stopped moving, it seemed locked onto this street; no matter how it hurried, it could not leave.
