Caught You

His body moved.

He did not charge at Gu Yuena. He did not charge at the Energy Avatar. Instead, he rushed toward the gap between them. His speed was astonishingly fast; Violent Foot was pushed to its limit, and his body left afterimage after afterimage in the air.

The Energy Avatar's Dragon Spear thrust toward him. His body flipped in midair, avoiding the spear tip, and both feet stepped onto the shaft. Using the force to spring upward, he pounced at Gu Yuena. Gu Yuena's body instantly vanished from where she stood and appeared behind him. With a sweep of both hands, a Light Cannon blasted toward him.

Situ Xuan forcibly twisted his body in midair, avoiding the Light Cannon's direct impact, but the edge of the cannon grazed his back, burning a charred black mark into his skin. His feet landed, and his body staggered, but he immediately steadied himself and charged at Gu Yuena again.

The Energy Avatar charged in from the side, striking out with both palms toward Situ Xuan's waist. Situ Xuan did not dodge. He took the blow head-on, and his body was slapped flying sideways. Borrowing that force, he instead sped up and rushed toward Gu Yuena.

Gu Yuena's pupils shrank. Her hands rapidly formed seals, and one Elemental Shield after another condensed in front of her. Situ Xuan clenched his right fist and smashed it into the first shield. The shield shattered. His left fist smashed into the second shield. The shield shattered. His right elbow smashed into the third shield. The shield shattered. His knee smashed into the fourth shield. The shield shattered.

Shield after shield shattered under his attacks, and his body drew closer and closer to Gu Yuena.
