Tony Stark had never imagined he would face such a terrifying crisis.

It was supposed to be a routine military demonstration, but instead he was ambushed by terrorists.

Not only was he kidnapped and thrown into a dark, sunless cave, but a piece of shrapnel was lodged near his heart, held at bay only by a crude electromagnet powered by a car battery, its weak magnetic field preventing the fragments from piercing his heart.

Before he could even come to terms with this reality, a group of terrorists burst in and began torturing him, demanding he build them a Jericho Missile.

Just as Stark was at his most lost and terrified, unsure if he would survive, a man claiming to be a Stand User appeared out of nowhere, took down all the terrorists with bizarre methods Stark couldn't begin to understand, and then offered to get him out of this hellhole.

To be honest, Stark was scared.

He didn't know if this man was trustworthy, but he had to escape immediately.

According to Fang Mo, all the terrorists had been dealt with. Stark could leave anytime he wanted.

But only Stark knew what a massive hidden danger the electromagnet on his chest was. If the car battery powering it short-circuited, he would die in an instant.

So, for the sake of his own life, Stark had to build himself a new power source.

Luckily, there were plenty of materials here, and with Yinsen willing to act as his assistant, Stark quickly completed the first step: stripping 1.6 grams of palladium metal from a pile of missiles.

But just as Stark was about to melt the palladium in a crucible, Fang Mo, who had been off to the side studying his Stand, suddenly froze. An electronic chime rang out in his mind.

[System Prompt: New mod feature detected. Research to unlock download permissions.]

"A new mod feature? What's that?"

Fang Mo was startled and immediately asked.

But the electronic voice didn't answer him. By now, Fang Mo had figured out that this system-like voice had no intelligence and couldn't communicate. It only popped up with a prompt when he triggered certain conditions.

"What?"

Stark, fiddling with the crucible, seemed to hear something and looked up in confusion. "Are you talking to me?"

"Something like that."

Fang Mo walked over to where Stark was. He suspected this new mod feature might be related to him, so he asked directly, "What are you doing?"

"Melting this palladium."

Stark placed the crucible on the fire and explained, "To build a small arc reactor, I need to cast a palladium ring first."

"A reactor..."

Fang Mo glanced at the liquid palladium slowly melting in the crucible. For some reason, it reminded him of playing the Industrial Craft mod with his friends. He'd been stupid once and picked up a piece of Uranium-235, getting tortured by a radiation debuff. He couldn't help but mutter, "Damn... you're planning to share the wealth, huh?"

"Huh?"

Stark was taken aback. "What did you say?"

Just then, Yinsen walked over with a freshly made sand casting mold. "What's going on? I thought I heard you two discussing something."

"Yinsen, look. Stark here is already making soup."

Fang Mo immediately turned to Yinsen. "He's already asking for trouble. As a doctor, aren't you going to stop him?"

"...Soup?"

Yinsen was also confused. He looked at Stark. "What kind of soup are you making?"

"Authentic tritium cuisine." Before Stark could answer, Fang Mo gave a thumbs up. "Full of flavor, with a radioactive aroma."

"Don't listen to his nonsense."

Stark quickly explained, "I'm just making a small arc generator. It's perfectly safe. My company has a huge one. Yinsen, you have steady hands, right? Come help me cast this palladium ring."

"I just gave everyone a puzzle: how to fill the entire cave." Seeing Stark ignore him, Fang Mo started his radiation joke again. "First, I killed all the terrorists myself, but their bodies only covered the floor. Then Yinsen lit a candle, but the cave still had shadows... Only the brilliant Stark, casting a small reactor coil with palladium, filled the entire cave with radiation."

"Palladium is just a heavy metal. It's not radioactive!"

Stark finally couldn't help but retort. "The reactor I want to build doesn't rely on fission energy at all. It's a cold fusion process that uses palladium to absorb hydrogen isotopes. You wizard, if you don't understand, don't talk nonsense..."

"Huh?"

Fang Mo was stunned. "Palladium isn't a radioactive metal?"

"That's called a radioactive element."

Stark rubbed his forehead wearily. "Forget it. I can't be bothered to explain. You probably don't even know the difference between electromagnetic radiation and ionizing radiation. Yinsen, come help me cast the coil..."

"Alright."

Yinsen hadn't really followed the conversation either, but he didn't care. When Stark called him, he got to work seriously.

He used tongs to grab the red-hot crucible and began pouring the molten palladium into the sand casting mold.

And the moment the scorching liquid metal flowed into the mold, another electronic chime rang out in Fang Mo's mind.

[System Prompt: 'Melting' and 'Casting' behaviors researched. You have gained download permissions for a new mod.]

[System Prompt: Tinkers' Construct mod download initiated.]

"???"

Hearing this prompt, Fang Mo's eyes widened in shock.

Now he finally understood. His modpack could actually add new mods to itself.

Earlier, when the Chinese Language Mod suddenly appeared, he had already considered this issue. Now it seemed his guess was correct. Although he wasn't sure how the ability to add mods was triggered, it was at least a good thing. If he could somehow add a mod like "go home," wouldn't he be able to return to the MC world?

Thinking of this, Fang Mo also grew a bit excited.

Stark had just finished casting the palladium ring, and there was still a long time before the entire Arc Reactor was completed.

Taking advantage of this time, Fang Mo quickly tried to study how to add mods. For instance, he silently recited 'I've watched Fullmetal Alchemist, I want the Equivalent Exchange mod' a thousand times in his mind, but unfortunately, the results weren't ideal.

Seeing that adding mods was hopeless, Fang Mo had to first study the Lucky Block.

Compared to the mod-adding function, whose trigger mechanism he didn't understand, using the Lucky Block was much simpler. Fang Mo just had Steve right-click the item, and the next second, a flash of white light passed, and the Lucky Block disappeared.

In its place was a crystal-clear blade.

"Huh? What's this?"

Fang Mo took one look and immediately recognized the sword's origin.

This sword came from his favorite mod, the Twilight Forest mod, specifically the Glass Sword unique to it, which could only be obtained with some luck in the glacier's Aurora Palace.

This sword dealt a whopping 40 points of damage, but its only drawback was that it had just 1 point of durability.

Sharp as glass, but also as fragile as glass.

Yet Fang Mo's attention wasn't on that.

"So it really did pull out an item from another mod." Fang Mo rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I haven't loaded the Twilight Forest mod yet, but it pulled out the Glass Sword... Does this Lucky Block really draw items from all mods?"

If it could really draw items from all mods, then this Lucky Block would be terrifying.

After all, there were so many mods in the MC game, including some real heavy hitters, like bacteria that could multiply infinitely, bombs that could blow up chunks, or Hot Spring Machines that could flood the world—you could easily find a ton of them.

Unfortunately, this Lucky Block was a system gift, and Fang Mo didn't know its judgment rules.

Was it a repeatable reward, where he could claim one each time he ran a new mod, or a one-time reward, where he wouldn't get any more after claiming it?

As if to verify Fang Mo's guess, a series of electronic sounds suddenly rang in his mind.

System Prompt: Tinkers' Construct mod download complete. Load?

"Oh, this..."

Fang Mo was stunned for a moment, then immediately agreed. "Load it now."

System Prompt: Tinkers' Construct mod loaded successfully. System Prompt: Since you downloaded and ran a brand-new mod, you have received a Lucky Block. This Lucky Block will randomly draw one item from any known mod.

With a series of system prompts, another Lucky Block appeared in Steve's backpack.

"Holy crap, it really works?"

Seeing the colorful Lucky Block, Fang Mo was pleasantly surprised.

In his excitement, Fang Mo quickly ordered Steve to open the Lucky Block. This time, a flash of white light passed, and a purple claw-like object appeared directly in Steve's hand.

"What's this?"

Seeing the new item, Fang Mo curiously examined it.

This was an item called the Ender Hand. Fang Mo thought back a bit and found it seemed to come from the Mutant Creatures mod. Left-click could directly hit monsters, while right-click could control a block to float, then throw it to smash monsters, and so on. Of course, the most impressive was SHIFT + right-click, which allowed the player to teleport.

"This... I really hit the jackpot."

Looking at the purple claw in Steve's hand, Fang Mo was clearly a bit surprised.
